Mixon by Anna Mixon Spring 11 collection is designed for those who embrace the intricacies of modern existence and see in fashion the possibility to communicate their unique perspective. Anna Mixon, the lines designer, exemplifies the modern woman. Her constantly changing daily roles and individual experience lead her to innovative design. In fashion, surrounded by beauty she seeks a means to accentuate that beauty. A background in engineering provides a mathematical and spatial approach to compose pieces that move with the female form.Mixons collection uses intricately hand made chain pieces to evoke the essence of the modern woman. The line refuses the limitation of a bracelet for the wrist or an earring for the ear. Instead Mixon accents the woman in a more complete sense. A single earring dangles down the neck and to the chest line marked by delicate feathers at each zone of motion. A hand piece clasps at the wrist and drapes the back of the hand to a finger.The use of chains of varying gauges and styles evokes the industrial, while maintaining its subtle femininity.
